In J & K, at least five terrorists killed in a fierce gun battle with Army near LoC in Uri Sector

In Jammu and Kashmir, at least five terrorists were killed when army foiled a major infiltration bid near the Line of Control in Uri Sector of Baramulla district on Sunday night. Army sources said in Srinagar that troops noticed some suspicious movement of a large number of militants near the LoC in Lacchipora area at around 7 pm. The terrorists group when challenged opened indiscriminate firing towards the army positions. The Army jawans returned the fire, triggering off a fierce exchange between the two sides.
AIR Baramulla correspondent reports that the gun fight was continuing till reports last came in.
