Govt. constitutes empowered group for development of Naxal affected areas

Government has constituted an empowered group to suggest measures for accelerated development of Naxal affected areas. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today, the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mr. V. Narayan Swami informed the House that a multi prolonged approach is already in place to improve the pace of development in these areas. He told members that the Planning Commission has been asked to monitor the implementation of major development schemes in the affected districts.
