2010 July 18
Former Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party Chief Chandrababu Naidu and some party legistors who were arrested on Friday by the Maharashtra police at Dharmabad in Nanded district, refused to take bail yesterday. They remained firm on their demand to be allowed to visit Babhali irrigation project. The project situated along the border of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh is the cause of dispute and has been pending in the Supreme Court since the last five years. Reacting to Naidu’s stand, Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ashok Chavan said it is a political stunt.
