Involvement of Hurriyat Conference in engineering Kashmir violence exposed

The involvement of hardline Hurriyat Conference in engineering violence in Kashmir has been exposed. The intercepted conversation between the two office bearers of the faction discussed how to utilise the large procession that started in the outskirts of Srinagar city which may lead to killing of several persons.

The transcript of conversation is available with the Home Ministry. Sources said that there have been intelligence inputs that some elements based in Pakistan started operating bank accounts in the Gulf and from there keep sending small amounts of money to people in the valley every day through Western Union Money Transfer, thus trying to avoid detection from security agencies.

Sources also pointed out that whenever there is a peace initiative between India and Pakistan, the level of violence goes up in Jammu and Kashmir due to the elements that are against it.

Meanwhile Curfew in Srinagar and other major towns of Kashmir valley is continuing even as army carried out Flag march in various localities of the city for the second day yesterday. Meanwhile, 8 companies of additional paramilitary forces arrived in the valley.
