Volk-swagen India plans new sedan in late ’10

As part of its plans to capture a larger share in the Indian car market, Volk-swagen India has decided to launch a new sedan in second half of 2010.
“The new offering be built on the platform of its recently launched model Polo and it will be in the ‘C’ class,” said Mr Neeraj Garg, director, Volkswagen, after inaugurating the company’s first dealership at Trimulgherry in Secundera-bad on Wednesday.
He said the stylish Beetle, which comes with a price tag of Rs 23.7 lakh (on road), has 250 confirmed bookings. Of which, 22 are from Hyderabad.
