NSE F&O Cues: Fut OI down by Rs 832 Cr, Options OI up by Rs 1871 Cr; Nifty Fut shed 56,000 shrs in OI, at 2-pts disc Vs 7-pts prem; SBI Fut OI up 8%

Futures OI was down by Rs 832 crore while Options OI was up by Rs 1871 crore. Nifty Futures shed 56,000 shares in OI and were at 2-points discount Vs 7-points premium. Stock Futures added 71.8 lakh shares in OI. Nifty OI Put-Call Ratio stood at 1.23 vs 1.24. Nifty Puts added 14.3 lakh shares in OI; Nifty Calls added 14.5 lakh shares in OI; Nifty 5200 Call added 5.5 lakh shares in OI; Nifty 5300 Call added 2.9 lakh shares in OI; Nifty 5100 Put added 4.3 lakh shares in OI.

In far month options, Nifty March 5800 Call added 2.2 lakh shares in OI and Nifty March 4500 Put added 2 lakh shares in OI.

On January 12, FIIs net sell in Nifty Futures were Rs 505 crore, Nifty Futures OI was up by 1760 contracts. FIIs net buy in Nifty Options were Rs 395 crore, Nifty Options OI was up by 26334 contracts. FIIs net sell in Stock Futures were Rs 565 crore, Stock Futures OI was up by 10546 contracts.

SBI was down 2.8%, CoC was down, Futures OI was up 8%, fresh short positions were seen. Sterlite Industries was down 3%, CoC was down, Futures OI was up 7%, fresh short positions were seen. Idea Cellular was down 5%, Futures OI was up 5%, fresh short positions were seen. HDIL was down 4%; CoC was down, Futures OI was down 12%, long unwinding was seen. Infosys was up 4%; CoC was down, Futures OI was down 8%, delivery volume was at 16 lakh vs 6 lakh. TCS was up 4%; CoC was down, Futures OI was down 13%, delivery volume was at 21 lakh vs 12 lakh.
