NTPC set up 2640 MW power station Narsinghpur NTPC to set up 2640 MW power station at Narsinghpur, M.P  NTPC signed a MOU with Government of Madhya Pradesh and MP Power Trading Company for setting up 4 x 660 MW (2640MW) thermal Power Plant at Narsinghpur in Madhya Pradesh today in New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion Shri Sushilkumar Shinde, Union Minister of Power said that the Government is committed to the capacity addition program in the power sector and shall provide all the necessary clearances for fast implementation of the project.

The project shall have 4 units of 660 MW with supercritical technology. NTPC has total installed capacity of 30644 MW through 26 power stations including joint ventures. The company has capacity addition target of becoming 75 GW by 2017 and currently has 17,930 MW under construction.
