Bajaj Hindusthan-Balrampur Chini Mills deal has been called off on the differences, reports CNBC-TV18 quoting sources. Pricing was not an issue for Bajaj Hindusthan-Balrampur Chini deal, sources added.
Earlier, sources said that Bajaj Hindustan is likely to buy promoter stake in Balrampur Chini Mills. Sources had indicated that the promoters of Balrampur Chini may sell majority stake and the deal value is seen around Rs 1700-2000 crore.
Sources said that the deal is being finalized and is in final stages of negotiation. The deal could be announced within next week. However, Balrampur Chini said that the company can not comment as a policy.
