Ranbaxy Labs Q3FY09 standalone net profit of Rs 186.1 crore

Ranbaxy Labs has announced its Q3FY09 results. It has reported standalone net profit of Rs 186.1 crore as against loss of Rs 352.9 crore, on year-on-year basis (YoY).
Net sales went up 3.8% to Rs 1,189.6 crore versus Rs 1,146.3 crore, YoY.
The company reported forex gain of Rs 1.4 crore versus loss of Rs 310 crore.
Its consolidated net sales declined 8.9% to Rs 1,720.5 crore versus Rs 1,888.4 crore and net profit slipped 70.4% to Rs 116.6 crore as against Rs 394.5 crore.
Topline was below the expectations while bottomline was way above the estimates. CNBC-TV18 expected net profit at Rs 59 crore and net sales at Rs 1,831 crore.
