New Delhi, Oct 23  A 53-year-old woman teacher was stabbed by an unidentified teenager in front of her Class II students inside the classroom of a MCD-run school in east Delhi this morning.

The attack was made at around 11.35 am and the assailant, who appeared to be lean and aged anywhere between 18-19, managed to flee from the school after the incident.

Bitti Bhan was in Class II-B of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi Girls School in Trilokpuri of Mayur Vihar Phase-II when the attacker, who had covered his face with a piece of cloth, attacked her with a knife.

“The incident took place in front of her students. They started screaming.”

The teenager entered Bhan’s classroom asking “which one is Class IV” and assaulted her. Bhan, who was sitting on a chair, suffered injuries on her left thigh, a senior police official said.
