Allahabad Bank 2009-2010 Q2 Net Profit Results
Kolkata-based Allahabad Bank has reported a net profit of Rs.333.59 crore for the second quarter of the 2009-10 which ended on Sep 30, 2009. This is about 700% up from the net profit of Rs.41.68 crore reported during the corresponding period last year.
“The net profit growth happened due to core banking activities of the bank,” K.R. Kamath, chairman cum managing director of the bank said.
The net business of the bank has been reported to be Rs.148,103 crore on Sep 30 when compared to the Rs.125,363 crore reported during the corresponding period last year , registering a YOY growth of 18.14%.
At present, the capital adequacy ratio of the bank is at 14.90%.
The net interest margin (NIM), Kamath said it is 2.84% for the second quarter (July-September) and that he is hopeful of attaining an NIM of 2.88% this fiscal (2009-10).
