impax settles patent litigation with Boehringer Ingelheim for drug Flomax; Impax settlement may mean Ranbaxy may not have sole exclusivity for Flomax

Impax has settled the patent litigation with Boehringer Ingelheim for the drug-Flomax. Ranbaxy has also settled the patent litigation with Boehringer Ingelheim for Flomax. Ranbaxy has 2.5 months exclusivity for Generic version of Flomax starting March 2010.

Impax settlement may mean that Ranbaxy may not have a sole exclusivity for Flomax.
