Unit-linked insurance products (Ulip) do not essentially require a booming stock market to be appealing to the investors, says a top official of Aegon Religare. “It’s a myth that Ulip is a volatile instrument of investment as they are only linked to the equity markets. There are products, where customers can opt for debt or equity as per their risk-taking ability,” the Aegon Religare Life Insurance chief financial officer, Mr K.S. Gopalakrishnan, said here on Tuesday, while launching their new Ulip product Invest Maximiser.
He claimed that his new product would give highest rate of return among other such instruments as the charges collected are the lowest.
