Two-time Emmy-winning talk show host Tyra Banks kicked off the fifth season of her ratings winning daytime gabfest with a big reveal — her natural hair!! Tyra Banks is known for all of the wonderful, (and some not so wonderful) wigs she has always been seen in but today she decided to ditch it all and go o-natural.

On a day she declared National Real Hair Day, the former catwalk maven bravely ditched her famous lacefront wig and showed fans her God-given shoulder-length tresses for the first time. Free of all extensions, Tyra emerged onstage with wet hair, allowing audience members a bird’s eye view as her professional mane man styled her locks, according to popcrunch.

Tyra Banks friends of the show, Chris Rock sent her a copy of his documentary “Good Hair”, which documents why black women feel the need (or simply want) to relax their hair and/or wear a weave, as well as trying to find out were the term good hair came from, Tyra may have had a change of heart about her beauty standards according to examiner.
