NHPC listed at Rs 39.50 on the BSE as against the issue price of Rs 36. A premium of nearly 10% to the issue price.
At 10.00 am the stock was trading at Rs 37.50, and around 16.51 million shares had been traded in the first few minutes on the BSE.
The initial public offer (IPO) of hydro power producer was subscribed over 23 times, thanks to the huge response from institutional investors.
