By early afternoon, the Marathon service station on Highland Avenue in Columbia Township sold about $600 worth of tickets.

Raymond Williams Jr. of Paddock Hills walked out with five chances at becoming a mega-millionaire.

Already wearing a beach hat, Williams held up his tickets and declared, “I’m ready to go.”

“I’m gonna send postcards to everybody; and if they want to come, call first,” he said. “If God is willing, it’ll come to me; but I can’t win if I don’t play, right?”

The top prize has rolled over 13 times since the last time someone won it early last month. Mega Millions is played in 12 states including Ohio.
The jackpot is the seventh-biggest offered. The largest Mega Millions jackpot ever won was $390 million in March 2007. That prize was split by two tickets, purchased in Georgia and New Jersey.
