Godrej Consumer Products has acquired 40% stake in Godrej Sara Lee

In a bid to consolidate and strengthen its FMCG business, Godrej Consumer Products has acquired 40% stake in Godrej Sara Lee. It now will hold 49% stake in Godrej Sara Lee joint venture.

Its board has approved amalgamation of Godrej Hygiene Care and Godrej Consumer business into the company which holds 20% & 29% respectively in Godrej Sara Lee joint venture.
