Asian markets open the Thursday session weaker, as hopes of a US economic recovery were soured by the Federal Reserve cutting its growth view.

Asian markets are trading down in today’s trade. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was trading down 1.61% or 282.11 points at 17,193.73, Japan’s Nikkei 225 was trading down 1.17% or 109.49 points at 9325.15, South Korea’s Seoul Composite was trading down 1.14% or 16.4 points at 1419.3, Singapore’s Straits Times was trading down 1.07% or 24.21 points at 2245 and China’s Shanghai Composite was trading down 1.20% or 31.289 points at 2619.585. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was trading flat at 6703.52.
