Maruti Suzuki is going to Launch Ritz on 15th May. It is expected to be in price bracket of Rs 4-5.7 lakh. It will be available in 6 variants, 3 petrol and 3 diesel variants. The company is coming up with Ritz to position itself in premium A2 segment which includes other cars from Maruti family like Alto, Wagon-R, Swift, Zen and A-Star.
Maruti Suzuki expects to see about 9000 units of Ritz a month. The company has confidence to sell high volumes stems from success of Swift, which was its fastest model to cross 3 lakh sales in 3 years and 8 months. Although there might be cannibalisation between Swift and Ritz, the later is positioned as a family car, while Swift is more sporty. It will be Indias first BS-IV compliant passenger car.
