Fut OI up Rs 527 Cr; Options OI up Rs 833 Cr

On April 24, 2009, Futures OI was up Rs 527 crore while Options OI was up Rs 833 crore. Nifty April Futures shed 38 lakh shares and May Futures added 36 lakh shares in OI. Nifty Futures rollover was at 38% while Stock Futures rollover was at 26% and the expiry is on Wednesday. India VIX was down 7% at 47.78.

Nifty OI Put-Call ratio stood at 1.52 Vs 1.47. Nifty Puts added 22 lakh shares while Calls shed 2 lakh shares in OI. Nifty April 3500 Put added 8.1 lakh shares in OI; Nifty May 3400 Put added 6.5 lakh shares in OI; Nifty April 3400 Put added 6.4 lakh shares in OI; Nifty June 3400 Call added 4 lakh shares in OI; Nifty June 3700 Call added 4 lakh shares in OI; Nifty April 3300 Call sheds 9.3 lakh shares in OI; Nifty April 3400 Call sheds 6.3 lakh shares in OI. Stock Futures OI was unchanged.

On April 24, net sell by the FIIs in Nifty Futures were Rs 251 crore and OI was up 16,096 contracts while net buy in Nifty Options were Rs 152 crore and OI was up 51,700 contracts.

Nagarjuna Fertilizers was up 3.4%, OI was up 8%, long positions seen. GVK Power & Infra was up 6.7%, Futures OI was down 13%. TVS Motor was down 8.5%, OI was down 47%, huge long unwinding seen. Dish TV was down 2%, OI was down 12%, long unwinding seen. Ashok Leyland was down 1%, OI was down 16%, long unwinding seen.
