Sun Pharma gets US FDA approval for generic anti-seizure drug

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration to sell topiramate tablets. The tablet, used for the treatment of seizures, is a generic version of epilepsy drug Topamax, owned by Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical Inc, a unit of Johnson & Johnson. Topiramate US market size is at $ 2.5 billion.
